Workshops

In 2005 Jennifer took part in Artstart, an Early Years Arts Education Training Project run jointly by the Essex County Council and the Mercury Theatre, Colchester. The training introduced her to working with nursery, reception and year one children in Nursery and Primary School settings and opened her eyes to the enormous importance of ‘Play’ in the development of children.

‘Play’ continues to underpin all the processes and themes she works with, including the development of her own work.

She has also been organising and running workshops for Adults, her own programme, and those funded by Touching the Tide, a landscape partnership scheme funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund (see www.touchingthetide.org.uk) The workshops are usually run by two artists, and take the adults out into the Suffolk landscape to draw in the morning, using charcoal and gel pens. The group are then encouraged to produce a final piece of work(s) in the afternoon, using the drawings as reference. Please see the current programme of workshops on the NEWS page of this website.
