Adult Art Workshops – out in the Suffolk Coastal Landscape
Touching the Tide, a Heritage Lottery funded project about the Suffolk coast from Covehithe to Felixstowe, funded the Adult art workshops. These took adults out to a coastal location in the mornings to draw, and in the afternoon in a nearby village hall or similar, the drawings were used as reference for a finished piece of work(s) to be completed in the medium of the workshop on that day.
These workshops were very popular and quickly became oversubscribed. The chance to draw outside in the landscape was one of the attractions, often to a new place along the Suffolk coast, and in all sorts of weather.
The workshops were led by two Tidal Margins artists, in different combinations ie mixing their expertise in particular mediums, which meant that the participants of the workshops were able to tap into the these artists’ experience over the day.
